Returns and Exchanges Policy

Stock-Item Returns
Discounted Parts Supplies offers a 30-day return policy for stock items only* (excluding delivery fees). A 20% restocking fee may apply to certain items. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in a sellable condition. The customer is responsible for shipping, tracking, and ensuring the safe and correct arrival of the returned package at our warehouse. Returns will only be accepted with prior written authorization. Any unauthorized returns may be discarded.

A stock item is defined as a product we keep in stock at our warehouse. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify with us whether an item is a stock item before placing an order.

Non-Stock Items
Returns are not available for non-stock items under any circumstances. Non-stock items are special-order products procured from suppliers specifically for the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm if an item is a non-stock item and ensure they are ordering the correct product as described in our online listings.

Cancellations
Placing an order constitutes a commitment to purchase. Orders already in transit cannot be canceled. For back-ordered non-stock items, we often have an irrevocable purchase agreement with our supplier, making cancellations and refunds difficult. However, in certain cases, if a backorder can be canceled with the supplier before shipment, we may facilitate cancellations and refunds as a gesture of goodwill.

Purchases of Electronic Products
Due to safety concerns and the nature of electronic components, the 30-day stock item return policy does not apply to items containing electronic components. Electronic items cannot be returned for a Change of Mind credit under any circumstances.

Faulty Products
Returns are accepted for faulty products within the supplier's warranty period. Customers must inquire about the warranty period before placing an order. All returns for faulty products must be authorized, and the fault must be accurately described as part of the authorization process.

Return of Incorrect Products
Ordering the correct spare part can be challenging. Our staff are available to assist with compatibility checks before purchase. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a product is suitable and to provide accurate and complete appliance information.

If a customer orders an incorrect product due to their own error (e.g., providing incorrect information), it will not be eligible for return outside the conditions specified above.

In rare cases where Discounted Parts Supplies is proven to have provided an unfit product, a return can be processed through the usual return authorization procedure.

Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to the same terms and conditions as returns and require authorization.

Shipping of Authorized Returns
Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are generally responsible for the cost of returning products if they can be posted or easily returned.
